Riverbend Nurseries is a family-owned and operated retail garden center and wholesale nursery located just south of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. We are open year-round to the public and grow over 1500 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and vegetables on our 275 acres of land.

Our passion is gardening, and we love nothing more than sharing our love and knowledge of plants with you.

We are growing approximately 500,000 annuals this spring! Many are beginning to arrive at our garden center, straight from our greenhouses! We will continue to bring in more varieties as they become available.

Our inventory changes quickly in spring! If you see something you love, you may want to go ahead and pick it up because it may not be here the next time you come. 🌸🌼🌿

Tip: our frost date is April 15th in Middle Tn; this is the approx. date we stop receiving frosts. With that in mind, keep an eye on the lows for the next few weeks. If we are predicted to receive a frost, you will need to bring your annuals inside or cover them well. We don't want you to have to repurchase! 🩷

It has been difficult to hold back the news, but today was the perfect day to share:
Our nursery has been hard at work developing two new varieties of flowers that attract pollinators in mass numbers. The nectar of these two perennials combines some of their favorites- Lantana, Coneflower, and Tropical Hibiscus. And yes, you heard us right- when released, these flowers will be perennial. Added bonus- they bloom in late winter, as well. You can enjoy Lantana-type and tropical Hibiscus blooms year-round. We are thinking one variety will be called 'April' and the other 'Fools'. 😉

Planning your vegetable garden? You'll want to add several of these pretties!
🌼Marigolds help keep rabbits (we're looking at you, Peter Rabbit!🐰) and deer away from munching on your veggies!
🌼Marigolds also deter aphids, while encouraging beneficial insects, such as ladybugs.🐞
🌼Plant them intermingled with your vegetable plants or line your raised vegetable beds with them.
🌼Cut off spent blooms to encourage frequent blooming. They will last until mid-October!

**Our frost free date is around April 15th! Until then, you may need to bring annuals indoors or cover them if we receive a frost.
