RIVERBEND NURSERIES
Riverbend Nurseries is a family-owned and operated retail Garden Center and
wholesale nursery located just south of Nashville in Franklin and Thompson's
Station, Tennessee. It was founded in 1990 on 80 acres of land. The original
establishment was set up for only the wholesale trade, concentrating sales efforts
on garden centers and landscape contractors mainly in the eastern half of the U.S.
Our nursery has expanded through the years and now encompasses 500 acres on
some of the best silty clay loam soil in Middle Tennessee.
Our retail Garden Center opened in 2008. Thanks to the retail division of
Riverbend Nurseries, the public can come and shop from the same inventory
where the eastern U.S. and Middle Tennessee?s best landscapers, landscape
designers, and landscape architects have shopped for years!
Today, our nursery utilizes 500 acres of land to produce over 1,500 varieties of
plants. We have been blessed for years with the best customer service in the
business and would love to assist you in finding the perfect plants for your space.

Riverbend Nurseries is a family-owned and operated nursery located just south of Nashville in Franklin and Thompson’s Station, Tennessee. Our nursery was founded in 1990 on 80 acres of land. The original establishment was set up for only the wholesale trade, growing plants in the field, concentrating sales efforts on garden centers and landscape contractors mainly in the eastern half of the U.S. from Chicago to Baltimore and everywhere in between on down to Nashville.
Our nursery has expanded through the years both in how we grow plants and in the acres we use to grow our plants. We still field grow nursery stock but today, our nursery utilizes over 275 acres of land to produce over 1,500 varieties of plants. We grow containerized plants on about 30 irrigated acres, utilizing a little over 80 greenhouses. We heat over 30 of the greenhouses to expand our growing time allowing us to grow many different types of annual color plants, vegetables, house plants and succulents. We also utilize some of the heated houses to propagate a great number of plants annually to be certain we have ample numbers for the future.
Our retail garden center was opened in 2008 and is located just south of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. Thanks to the retail side of Riverbend Nurseries, the public can come and shop from the same plant inventory where the eastern U.S. and Middle Tennessee's best landscapers, landscape designers, and landscape architects have selected plants for years! We are proud to offer our customers plants that are locally grown, which allows our plants to be acclimated to our weather and Middle Tennessee soil for better-growing success.
In addition to a large assortment of plants and trees, at the garden center we also carry gardening tools, chemicals, pottery, indoor and outdoor home décor, bagged and bulk mulches, and organic soil amendments.
We're here to assist you in planting your dream garden and are also happy to offer gardening classes taught throughout the year by members of our knowledgeable staff. We look forward to your visit!
